Back to School Fashion

Happy Thursday readers!  Today is a big day--we have our second "Open House" at the new school to touch base with our students again and give them an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new school.    I can't wait to see some of the students' faces again and am ready for this (second) first day of school on Monday and to be back in a regular routine.

Today I bring you Student Teaching Guest Post #4.  Wes from  Life Through Preppy Glasses has just started classes this week in New York, so I thought it would be appropriate for him to share some of his back to school fashion picks!  Enjoy!

Hi everyone! This is Wes from Life Through Preppy Glasses filling in for Allie today. Hope everyone had a great Labor Day    weekend. Most of us college students have probably had a week or at least a few days of classes so far- that's the inspiration for today's post. While brainstorming ideas for today's post, Allie and I decided on back to school fashion. Campus fashions vary greatly from school to school, but I think all of us here share one thing in common: we like to look our best when we are sitting in class and out and about on campus. Whether you're in a big city, suburbs, or a small rural campus, here are some of my picks to make sure you're looking you're best in class: Women: essentials:
  • flats and a great pair of boots for fall
  • bright colors and some patterns- shirtdresses make the perfect option
  • a large tote to haul all those books and your computer

  9. You are going to be one styling student teacher. When I student taught last year I did it 2nd semester, and since I live in Chicago we were in the thick of winter. We weren't allowed to wear jeans, so what saved me throughout the entire winter was cords, long wrap sweaters, and a great pair of boots. It's a perfect teacher outfit because it lets you get down and dirty with your students on the floor, while still looking fashionable and appropriate.

I'm sure you don't need any advice - you look to be on the perfect path!
