#oddsareiam Favorites Week 4

A sleepy Monday over here today, friends!

Those who follow along with me on Instagram know that last night Bryce and I hosted a neighborhood cookout.  It was lots of fun, however, my final #oddsareiam post last night started out with #oddsareiam exhausted!  We spent nearly every waking minute of the weekend preparing for this party and tackled some big yard projects we'd long been putting off.  The party was a success and I am so happy with the progress we made, but it really wore us out!  I stayed in bed until the very last minute this morning and found myself dozing off during my daily reading time with the Cuties today.

#oddsareiam exhausted! Tonight's neighborhood cookout was a success, though, so the work was all well worth it! #cookout #neighbors #potluck #pimmscup #yum #hydrangea #summer

Today is the final #oddsareiam post and I want to give a big thanks to my partner, Catherine, for coming to me with the idea for a photo challenge.  I also wanted to thank all the wonderful ladies that played along.  I feel like I have gotten to know some other bloggers a bit better!

So without further adieu, here are my favorites from Week 4!

Taste Unlimited

Happy Thursday friends!

I hope you're having a great week!

A few weekends ago on our way home from the Eastern Shore (full post on that next week!), we stopped at Taste Unlimited in Virginia Beach for lunch.

Taste came highly recommended by a few different people, so we were excited to try the gourmet sandwich shop.

On the way in, we noticed they have the cutest small produce stand outside the store!

Their menu is full of sandwiches and salads that will have your taste buds salivating!

We placed our order and explored the shop while we waited.

In addition to delicious sandwiches, this shop sells beer, wine, gifts, gourmet snacks, and prepared foods!

I love their branding: The simple pale yellow and black combination was spot-on!

We came home with three of their sauces and I can't wait to use them as dressing and marinade!

I really had to practice restraint to not get that coral Scout tote!

I loved these gift baskets and think the wooden box could be later re-used on a kitchen counter!

There was an emphasis on Virginia and local products, which I loved.

I thought the baby bundt cakes were adorable...how cute would they be as wedding or party favors?

Their prepared foods looked delicious as well...the grilled veggies especially caught my eye!

Once our sandwiches were ready, we headed outside and ate under a sunny yellow umbrella!

Bryce and Ryan both ordered the Tidewater.

I ordered the Commonwealth.

And Erin ordered the Lynnhaven.

We all loved our sandwiches...in fact, Bryce and I also loved each other's so much, that we both split our sandwiches in half and shared in order to have a bit of each.

Taste has 6 locations in and around Virginia Beach, so I highly recommend it if you're in the area!

I am already excited to go again and really would love it if they opened a location here in Richmond!

Have you done any traveling lately?

Have a great day!

Lilly Bazaar Tank

Happy Tuesday readers!

I had a great first day with the Cuties yesterday and can't wait for some fun pool time with them today!

On the last day of school, I bought myself a Lilly Pulitzer top as a Happy Summer present.

It was a tough school year, so I figured I deserved a little prize for making it through to the end...

Well friends, since buying it a little over a week ago, I think I have worn the shirt on three separate occasions!  It has instantly become a favorite!  It was also one of your recent favorites on Instagram, so I thought I would give you a closer look!

I paired the top with my favorite summer shorts, Lilly Callahans!

I love the detailing of the elephants and thought this tusk necklace was an appropriate accessory!
I also have worn this necklace with almost every outfit since buying it, as well!  I can't find it online, but found similar ones here and here!

These platinum Jack Rogers wedges have also proven to go with everything!

Also worth mentioning is that the top has a great racerback that I failed to photograph!

#oddsareiam Favorites Week 3

Happy Friday readers!

After a week off, I am ready to start nannying The Cuties on Monday!

I don't do well when I have too much free time on my hands...I tend to go a little stir crazy, so one week free was just right!

Today I'm sharing my Week 3 favorites from the #oddsareiam Photo Challenge I am hosting with Catherine, blogger behind Spring In My Step.

Westover Lawn Party

Hello readers!

I can't believe my first week of summer break is already more than halfway over!  I haven't gotten nearly as many things done this week as I had planned, however, I think taking some time to just chill has been what I really needed.

Today I wanted to share photos with you from the Westover Lawn Party, an event benefitting the James River Association.

The event was held at Westover Plantation, an absolutely gorgeous venue!

Our first stop after signing in was the drinks tent!  Bryce was happy about the presence of the local Hardywood Park Brewery at the event.

There were 2 silent auctions, as well as all sorts of kids' activities!

And, man! There was lots of good food!

Once we got settled in with food & drinks, and found a table with friends, the live auction began!

I had never been to a live auction before and found it to be very exciting!  Bryce bid on and won a turkey hunt donated by one of his hunting buddies, who laughed saying that he could have gotten that for free. We also went in together with some friends to bid on a cooking class for 8 at one of the other local plantations, however, it went for a bid way over our limit!

After the auction wrapped up, we mingled a bit, and then explored the grounds some.

All in all, the event made for a great Saturday and I am looking forward to going again in the future!

Have you had any fun weekend outings lately?

Have a great day!
