Friday 5: Holiday Jammies Edition

Happy Friday friends!

T-11 days until Christmas...are you ready?

I'm nearly there: Just waiting on our Christmas cards to arrive so I can send them and gift wrapping. Bryce and I always enjoy wrapping together; believe it or not he makes the best bows! I've finally hit the stage at work, too, where all the preparation for year-end giving is coming together, things are slowing down, and I'm able to see the fruits of my labor. Winter break starts December 21 and I can't wait to have some down time to wrap up 2018!

One final thing I checked off my to-do list was finding a pair of Christmas jammies!

I mentioned in my Ladies Gift Guide (here) that pajamas are one of my favorite gifts to receive and decided to gift myself a festive pair this year. The hard part was choosing...

This set was my top choice, but try as I might I couldn't justify the price tag. Maybe next year? Or an after Christmas sale? They do have sets for the whole family which was tempting (mens here, kids here, pups here). Also love this champagne set by the same brand that would get you through New Year's Eve (have always wanted to host a fancy NYE pajama dinner party)!

Another family friendly, albeit out of my price range, option were these zebra pajamas! Someone please buy these so I can live vicariously through you! (mens here, kids here). Also love this palm print short set by the same brand...maybe you could have a Hawaiian Christmas theme? "Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas day..."

These don't scream Christmas, more woodland forest, but that means you can get even more mileage from them, right? Still a little pricey, but we're getting warmer and I also love these red tigers (again not totally Christmas, but red..hello!), and this "bearry holiday" set that I actually could probably convince Bryce to wear in the men's version. On the family note, there's not much cuter than a smooshy baby in Roberta Roller Rabbit!

Woohoo! We've finally gotten to a price point under $100! I own a pair of P.J. Salvage flannel pajamas and they are oh so cozy, and come in so many fun prints! Also love this flannel pair that come in 3 Christmas patterns under $50!

Woohoo! We have a winner...and for under $40 with free holiday shipping if you add a little more to your cart to push the total up to $50 (I recommend adding this)!!! I actually ordered them in the "NYC Cityscape" print and am surprising my mother-in-law with a matching pair to wear on Christmas and  reminisce to our New York City Christmas trip last year! I also couldn't resist ordering a pair in the pink stripe for post-Christmas wear. Prior to ordering, I had actually tried these on in store, and they are so incredibly soft and run true to size. I can't wait for their arrival!

And last, but certainly not least, you definitely need a comfy pair of slippers to accompany your jammies...and these all are on sale!

Are you a fan of Christmas pajamas?

What's left on your to do list over the next 11 days?

Have a great weekend!

Five on Friday

Happy Friday snow bunnies!

Better late than never, I am excited to be linking up today for the Five on Friday!

ONE
First Snow Day!

I thought the days of "snow days" were long gone for me, so you can imagine I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email yesterday afternoon announcing that our office would be closed today. I have been really run down the last two weeks, so this day has been just what the doctor ordered. I have used it as a day to relax and get things done. I started my morning with a barre class, came home and began prepping dinner (crockpot carnitas with homemade chimichurri sauce in cauliflower tortillas...will definitely share the recipe if it's good!), attacked a mountain of laundry, and have just enjoyed the slow paced day and watching the beautiful snow come down from the comfort of my cozy home! I think cookies are in store next (because calories, carbs, and sugars definitely DON'T count on snow days....)!

TWO

This cape first hit my radar a few days ago when Ashley posted it on her blog! I've been wearing a lot more neutrals this fall and winter, but went gaga over this cape! The girlie girl in me just can't resist the pretty pink and it has Valentine's Day written all over it! I have a Nordstrom gift card from Christmas and at under $35, this cape was a no brainer! I can't wait for it to arrive!

THREE

I am so excited to share that I just registered last week for the Southern C Summit! I was invited to attend this creative conference in Charleston last year, but couldn't take 3 days off of school. This year is a different story, and I can't wait to return to Charleston, with one of my besties, Erin of Attention to Darling Blog, by my side! Any of y'all going!? I would love to plan some time to catch up during the conference!

FOUR

I don't know about y'all, but I love it when I find a new blog to follow. Last week, I found Samma's blog Spice & Sass, and couldn't resist sharing the love! Her blog chronicles her day to day life, including that of her ahhhh-dorable family, and has a great dose of Southern! I found myself engrossed last week, reading and reading her posts! If you haven't checked out this down-to-earth blog, you must!

FIVE

How stinkin' cute is this DIY tumbler? I need another cup/tumbler/waterbottle like I need a hole in my head, BUT, I just might have to get crafty and make this one! I also have a bachelorette party for my cousin coming up in March and think making a set of these for all the girls could also potentially be fun for that weekend! I'll keep you posted!

What's going on in your life?

Has snow storm Jonas hit where you are?

Have a great weekend!

Warby Parker Winter Collection

Happy Election Day readers!

I hope you had a great weekend and Halloween!  Check out Instagram to see a pic of my mallard costume! It was a hit, and I have a feeling it's a costume I'll be pulling out again sometime!

Today I am excited to bring you a collaboration with Warby Parker.

When the company reached out to me, asking to share their brand new Winter Collection, I automatically knew the answer was yes. Warby Parker sells fabulous optical glasses and sunglasses at affordable prices, with a classic, vintage flair. What I didn't know about the company before this collaboration, however, was that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair of glasses is donated to someone in need. In fact, they have distributed more than 1 million pairs of glasses to people in need. Read more about this mission, here.

So now onto the new Winter Collection launching TODAY!

Getting a sneak peek at all the new glasses was so fun and I decided to put together a look for each of my favorite two pairs from the collection:  The Laurel Tea Rose Fade Optical Glasses and the Reilly Sparrow Grey Sunglasses.

For the Laurel Tea Rose glasses I went with a sophisticated look. I love that Warby Parker's glasses have a timeless style, but also a little bit of panache. The two tone frames on this pair are to die for. I've always joked that I would like reading glasses to look extra smart and chic and these glasses would most definitely fit that bill!

The Reilly Sparrow Grey sunglasses seemed to have a bit more laid back vibe, so I put together a look I could see myself wearing on sunny winter Saturdays. Y'all know I'm a sucker for traditional tortoise, but I must say I am absolutely smitten with the grey in this pair!

And now for a look at some of the other pieces in the new collection:

And finally, my absolute favorite feature on their site, is the Virtual Try-On. Upload a picture and try out all the styles you want from the comfort of your couch.  Warby Parker will also ship you 5 frames to try out, free of charge!  Here's a few favorites I "tried on."

Have you shopped Warby Parker before?

What are your favorite sources for glasses?

Have a great day!
