Orlando Recap

Happy Hump Day friends!

How are y'all?

I'm in a great mood today after having a wonderful girls' night last night (post coming Friday).

One of my goals for 2014, was to recap all the fun events from 2013 that never made their way to the blog.

Today I am sharing my spring break trip to Orlando.

Angela, one of my best friends, lives in Orlando.  She and I met playing volleyball when we were 12 and despite living in separate states for 10 years now, we have remained friends!  Needless to say, our visits are always very special!

I got into Orlando late Wednesday night.  Ang and I gabbed just about all night catching up on each other's lives.  The next day she had work, but gave me her car for the day so I could do some shopping!

After dropping Angela off at work, I started my morning with a jog around the lake in her neighborhood!

I certainly don't have a view like this on the jogs around my neighborhood!

After my jog, I took my time getting ready for the day and headed to the Vineland Avenue Premium Outlets for some retail therapy!  To say I had a successful day of shopping would be an understatement!

I'm dying for a TB outlet closer to Virginia!

That evening Angela and I had dinner at 407 Cafe, a restaurant specializing in crepes, paninis, and gelato!

This capresa crepe was scrumptious!

For dessert, I had the "Traditional Crepe" with cinnamon and sugar and a scoop of vanilla gelato!  I have had cravings for this dessert ever since!

The next day, Angela took off work and we spent the day in the nearby town of Celebration!

We sipped on cocktails and had a great lunch at Celebration Town Tavern before exploring!

Milkshakes & Fries were the perfect end to our day!

Saturday was our last full day and on our agenda was a trip to the beach!  We packed a picnic lunch and plenty of reading material!

That night, we went into Winter Park for a fancy dinner!

We ate at Panullo's and I indulged in the Frutti di Mare!

Finally on Sunday morning, we spent some time downtown at the Orlando Farmer's Market before having to head to the airport for my afternoon flight.  It was here that I was finally able to find a souvenir for Bryce--delicious palmetto honey!

After our trip to the farmer's market it was sadly time for me to pack up and make my way to the airport!

Flying first class on the way home certainly made saying goodbye a little bit easier!

As did flowers from Bryce when I landed!

I can't wait to make my way back to Orlando sometime soon!

Have you ever been?

What fun trips did you have in 2013?

Have a great day!
