Hope everyone has had a great start to the week. Last night I spent a ton of time trying to catch up on all the blogs of new people that have stopped by and commented on mine! With summer it's harder for me to read blogs as frequently as I did during school, but I will do my best to keep up!
Are you liking the new look? I'm loving it, but would love to make this center text section a color other than white. Any tech savvy readers out there know how I can change this? Because I added the background, I had to change to an old template which doesn't have as many customization options.
For today's post I pose a question to you readers: To romp or not to romp?
When the romper trend came out last year, I kinda liked it. There's something edgy and sexy about it--but I never thought I could pull it off. Well, now that the trend is back this year, I'm wanting to try it. What do y'all think?
This is one I've been considering...it's not too pricey and would be perfect for my first romping experience.
I also found some others I really like...
I think these would be great paired with wedges or metallic sandals!
What do y'all think? Do you have a romper? Hot or not? Should I try this trend?
As a side note, if you remember I am kind of a perfectionist/overachiever (see here). Well, I've made a little goal to reach 300 followers by the 3 month mark of my blog. So that means about 20 more followers by next Wednesday (6/15). That being said, if you read regularly but don't yet follow, please do! If you're new to my blog and like what you're seeing, please follow! I know this is a lofty goal, but I think we can do it!
Have a great day!
I *puffy heart* rompers. I haven't quite ventured out into the REAL world wearing a romper yet, but have done so around the pool. I was surprised they are back this year, and I'm love with the Trina Turk Chiquito Romper!
ReplyDeleteI would try it! Get a cheaper one (maybe from Target and if you LOOVE it then venture to the more expensive ones!) Another trend that come back in 2011, maxi dresses. I hated them last year but adore them this year!
I want to try them, too. I am sure it will look like a mumu on me! But maybe not???
ReplyDeleteI think that rompers are adorable but I just don't have the legs for them, if you do, go for it!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look of your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I feel about rompers.....since I am almot 36 wks preggos I cant even think about trying one on! That would NOT be pretty!!!
I think you could pull off the romp! I on the other hand would look like an idiot!
ReplyDeleteI've tried a couple rompers and they just do not work for me. I love them though!
ReplyDeleteHey sweet girl!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by The Bright Life!
You sound alot like me {just a few years younger}! Hope you'll come follow.
Love these rompers, but I can't quite pull 'em off! Go for it, I think they'd be precious for a evening out at the beach!
xo
Although the Trina Turnk one is pretty darn cute, I'm not into the romp. I just don't find them very flattering. However, I'm loving the new look. The background pattern is adorable.
ReplyDeletei am totally torn on the romper. i like the way they look and just can't figure out if it'd be able to pull it off. go for it and report back!
ReplyDeleteI'm still undecided about rompers. Let us know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the new design on your blog!
I am SO with you on this debate! I would need one with thicker shoulder straps, but I think I might get on the bandwagon. Let us know what you think when you get one!
ReplyDeleteI love that Garden romper!!! I still have yet to hop on this trend... My biggest concern? Having to pee. Sorry if that's TMI, but like do you have to take the whole thing off? Let me know if you get one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Looks like we have a lot in common.
ReplyDeleteWe're actually headed to Richmond next month for our cousin's wedding.
As for the romper -- I am older than you and can remember when they were all the rage when I was in high school.
I have one now that I use as a cover up but haven't purchased anything other than that.
GAWDDDDDDDD BLOGGER JUST SCREWED UP MY POST! I am so sick of blogger.
ReplyDeleteOk, trying again-
If I wear them at 38, honey, you sure can wear them:) I love my rompers. Mini Me and I share them. She wears mine and I wear hers:)
I hope you have a great week, now, go get you a romper or 3!
I think rompers are so cute, but I just can't do them. I have a really long torso, so they never work, boo! I think you should go for it though!
ReplyDeleteI love the new look of your blog! Congrats on having so many followers in just 3 months, such an accomplishment! I love rompers, I have one from Urban Outfitters. It's an easy outfit to put together
ReplyDeleteI love rompers.. you should definitely go for it! I found one that I'm obsessed with from French Connection and I'm having my mom get it for me for my birthday (only one more month!!). Some I've tried on look terrible, but I just kept trying them on until I found one that looked great on.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I LOVE the new layout! Second, I think rompers are cute but I am like you, not sure if I could personally pull it off. They are not the most flattering thing for butts either. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of the romper, they function like a dress-an instant outfit-and can be dressed up or down!
ReplyDeleteLove the new blog look. And congrats on getting so close to 300 followers! That's awesome! And I totally think you could pull off the romper look - you're young and adorable! I can't wait to see which one you pick. Please post pictures when you do!
ReplyDeletei want to try them because i think they look super cute and i love anything that's one piece cause it's easy but i tried a few on and looked terrible and now i'm nervous! but you should go for it! let me know how it works!
ReplyDeleteI think rompers are so cute, but they don't work well on tall people like me. It's sad. I definitely like them with a pair of wedges.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comment!
ReplyDeleteUugh to rompers, I have a long torso so no and never! :)
Love the blogs new look..so fresh and happy!! Rompers are great, love them with a cute pair of flats, a little cardigan to go over them...its instant and easy chic.
ReplyDeleteI think rompers are so cute, but I definitely can't pull them off! I think they look great when other people wear them, epecially when paired with a little cardi over them!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE rompers......on other people! lol I just have yet to find one that looks good on me....but I love looking at them on racks! :)
ReplyDeleteI want one so bad! I just can't find one that fits right. That just fit awkward or look awkward.
ReplyDeleteYou should totally romp!! I love all of the ones you have picked out, especially the first one. I am going to look into that one myself since I also have not yet romped :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on making it so close to your goal already- 20 more followers? I think you can do it!!!
Love the new blog look! And I had this problem last summer and FINALLY caved and bought one and I LOVE IT. So I vote TO ROMP! Warning though.... going to the bathroom is a pain because you have to get literally naked in the stall every time you have to go :) haha!
ReplyDeletei think Rompers are great for the summer and you can make yourself look very put together in them.
ReplyDeletehave you seen the Lilly "Rosebud" dress...think you would love it!
I love rompers! It's hard for me to find one that looks right though as I am short. I like weraing them out at night with wedges or with flip flops and a cardigan during the day!
ReplyDeletelove rompers! i still think they confuse guys but i love the look! your new design is awesomespice!
ReplyDeleteI have one and I LOVE it!!! I didn't think I would since I'm so short but once I found the right one and tried it on it was love! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I finally took the plunge and ordered one from Boden (actually Jonnie B... shhhhh!) - it is navy blue with sailboats and a ruffle around the neck. I cannot wait to debut it this summer. And I LOVE your new look, gorgeous girl! XOXO
ReplyDeleteOh gosh rompers. I have yet to "romp" and probably won't but I bet they would look good on you!! Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI think a good way to try out the romper would be the second one from trina turk. It's so cute and summery. Reaching 20 followers should be a breeze for you, your blog is awesome :)
ReplyDeleteHope your having a fabulous Tuesday,
Julie. littlepinkrainboots.blogspot.com
Love your new blog design!
ReplyDeleteI have tried on a few kinds of rompers and I have tried so hard to like them. It just seems like all of them "ride-up" in that not so comfortable area if your boobs and buns are a little bigger than normal (I'm 34D and size 4). But they might work for you.. I definitely suggest trying them on and not ordering that 'familiar' size.
xoxo.
If you plan to romp, I would start with one that has a defined waist. They're easier to wear and currently on sale all over the internets.
ReplyDeleteDon't get overly caught up in follower numbers. (yes, from someone who wishes she cared about that before three months ago) I know it's easy to get discouraged by people who have been blogging for 6 months with 1000 followers, but you should blog because you love it and comment on what you like reading. The rest will fall into place. :)
I like rompers but I am really short
ReplyDelete;( sometimes when you add heels to them they look a little skanky, so it has to be a classy wedge for me.
I've never actually tried a romper on, but I think some people look really cute in them. I just don't think I'm one of those people :) Rompers definitely look like fun summer wear!
ReplyDeleteI have a romper that I adore, but I think they look the most flattering with a belt or sash or two different fabrics so you have a defined waist. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've tried on a couple of rompers, and because of my body shape, they don't look that good on me. But they definitely look good on other people, so i say go for it and see what you think!
